Launch 'Remote Desktop Connection' from the start menu (you can use search or find it under 'Windows Accessoies').
Click the 'Show Options' button at the bottom left of the window to show the full settings.
On the 'General' tab, enter the computer you want to use in the 'Computer' field, and your username with 'UEA' on the start in the 'User name' field (e.g. UEA\xxx00xxx).
Switch to the 'Advanced tab', in the 'Connect from anywhere' section click the 'Settings...' button.
On this new page select the 'Use these RD Gateway server settings' option and enter the following:
Server name: cmprdg4.uea.ac.uk
Logon method: 'Allow me to select later'
Make sure 'Bypass RD Gateway server for local addresses' is unticked.
On the same page, under the 'Logon setting' section tick the 'Use my RD Gateway credentials for the remote computer' option.
Click 'OK' to close the 'Connection settings' page and return to the main dialog.
At the bottom of the 'General' tab there is a place you can save these settings to a file so you can use them again.
Before connecting you need to enable connections for your account via https://rdgguard.cmp.uea.ac.uk .
There are more details on this back on the Remote Desktop page.
After this you can connect with the remote desktop client.
When you connect you'll be prompted with a dialog that says 'The publisher of this remote connection can't be identified. Do you want to connect anyway?' You should click the 'Connect' button here.
You'll then be prompted for your password, this is your normal UEA password.
